Recent research by UPS showed that for the majority of online shoppers, free returns was an important consideration and eBay took note.

eBay Search Filter

UK buyers can now filter their searches by those offering free returns and that’s not all. Earlier this year eBay announced that it would be rewarding sellers who offer buyer friendly returns policies:

“We want you to grow by keeping your customers happy and coming back for more, and we’ll continue to reward sellers who provide great customer service.”

Seller Benefits

eBay think that offering a free 30-day returns policy (or better) will:

– Make it easier for shoppers to find your products
– Appeal more strongly to buyers
– Allow you to feature in associated eBay marketing

ebay recommend that you review your current returns policy and consider whether free returns would be more beneficial to your customers and to you.

Worried about returns affecting your inventory management?

One of the great things about multichannel management software is inventory management, allowing you to manage returns:

Your stock is automatically kept up-to-date across all channels when you receive returns – allowing you to sell it again quickly and easily.
