If you thought that multi-channel selling was just Amazon, eBay and Shopify, you’d be wrong (we’re sorry!), and the glowing success of new online marketplace OnBuy is a perfect example of why.

Don’t get us wrong – Amazon, eBay and Shopify are all essential parts of a successful multi-channel strategy. But that’s exactly what they are: parts.

Our most successful online retailers are those incorporating different sales channel(s) and eCommerce platforms such as Wish, Etsy, BigCommerce and WooCommerce. They reach different audiences, grow different product lines and receive new channels of income. And now there’s a different name entering the scene: OnBuy.

So, who is this new kid on the block?

What is OnBuy?

OnBuy is a UK-founded online marketplace; the highest-ranked UK-founded marketplace, at that. Much like Amazon and eBay, OnBuy sells a wide range of different items, spanning thousands of categories, from trusted third-party online retailers. Unlike Amazon, OnBuy doesn’t stock any of its own products – giving your business all of the attention.

Recently becoming one of the fastest-growing marketplaces in the world, OnBuy also boasts some other pretty impressive statistics. These include:

  • More than 21 million products;
  • Over 8 million buyers; and
  • More than 3,000 sellers.

Why should you expand onto OnBuy?

Aside from its glowing figures, OnBuy has recently received significant venture capital investment. This gives them the funds and backing to become a serious Amazon and eBay competitor – making now the perfect time to join.

With fresh notes and enthusiasm, OnBuy is investing in:

  • Large marketing campaigns to attract more shoppers to the site.
  • New solutions to make selling on the site easier and more profitable.
  • New features to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Rapid local and international expansion.
  • Engagement with sellers to develop a platform that best suits their needs.

By joining now you can play a part in shaping the future of OnBuy for sellers, but you’re also entering a marketplace that is attracting substantial shopper interest but has very little seller competition.

OnBuy has many product and category opportunities – enabling you to be first to market on the platform and establish your reputation and ratings before the masses arrive.

How to get started selling on OnBuy

Applying to sell on OnBuy is easy: fill out the application form and they’ll be in touch. Once approved, you can benefit from sales fees between 5-9%, instant payment through PayPal and risk-free selling (they’ll waive next month’s Standard subscription fee if you make less than £500 in sales.)
